What is Staff Ping?

Staff Ping is a Shopify app that sends WhatsApp notifications to store staff and team members when orders need attention. Unlike customer-facing notification apps, Staff Ping is designed for internal team communication.

When a Shopify order is created, paid, cancelled, or fulfilled, Staff Ping can automatically send a WhatsApp message to the right team member based on rules you define. You can filter notifications by order value, shipping country, product tags, payment method, and more.

What do I need to get started?+
Just install the app and add your team's phone numbers. Your team members need WhatsApp on their phones to receive alerts. That's it—no WhatsApp Business setup required on your end.
Can I send alerts to a WhatsApp group?+
No. WhatsApp Cloud API only supports one-to-one messages. Each team member receives their own direct message. This is actually better for accountability—you know exactly who was notified.
What about WhatsApp message costs?+
Message costs are included in your Staff Ping subscription. You don't need to worry about WhatsApp API pricing or quotas—we handle that.
Is this compliant with WhatsApp policies?+
Yes. We use approved message templates and follow WhatsApp Business guidelines. Recipients verify their phone number before receiving any messages.
How is this different from other notification apps?+
Most Shopify notification apps send messages to customers. Staff Ping sends alerts to your team. It's for internal operations, not customer communication.
